The Mulliner division will be celebrating Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with the release of a Mulsanne special edition. It pays homage to the company's founding father, W.O. Bentley and includes an item from one of his own cars.
The special model can be ordered with a standard Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. used as his personal car. The influence of the car can be seen in the interior. For instance the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet comes with the display of a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft displaying inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in a B-shaped photoetched air vent on the chrome application that runs along the back side of the vehicle. The front grille is patterned in 1930s-style Onyx and there's also an optional chrome finish around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille also has unique design, with an aluminum shell that replaces the body-colored mesh of Mulsanne. It also features the Flying B Logo.
The key box is made of Bentley wings and is fitted with the lining of black flock. Key pouches are available to be purchased to complement or contrast the key box. The set commemorative also includes a bespoke 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and an air-borne 'B' paperweight, plus a printed brochure featuring never-before-seen images of the original 1930s 8 Litre.
